CherriesCherries is the third instalment of my embroidery series. Having done a watermelon, a symbol of resistance and victory, previously I wanted to continue the theme of fruit for this project. Cherries are still very prominent in Ukraine as a flavour in sweet snacks and drinks. It is a berry that I associate with the summers I spent in Ukraine, with my grandmother giving me homemade cherry jam and cakes. This piece is an ode to my nostalgia and to
