070 Livingston, Montana 1884 echo cliffs Melish’s map was the firstLivingston, located on the Yellowstone River, started as a trading post and was originally named "Clark City" by the Northern Pacific Railroad company in 1882. It was renamed the same year to Livingston when the town moved upstream to further accommodate the railroad. Visited in 1806 by William Clark, the town was also inhabited by Clamity Jane for two decades and visited by many adventurous members of European Royalty. Livingston is also an "art
