There is a lovely inner mouth perfume to the concentrated

18 ha parcel of 20+ year old vines and fermented like the Clos de Vougeot)

with bits and pieces from Aux Saints Jacques

This is seriously impressive and is a wine that should age for decades and about the only nit is that the 2009 version is perhaps slightly less refined than other recent vintages

The nose is sweet

This is a very strong set of new releases from one of Piedmont’s historic properties

As is usually the case this is notably more elegant than the straight Chablis with its nose of pretty citrus

The 2005 Siaurac is such a pleasant surprise

It's full-bodied and supple on the mid-palate

In this tasting

it will require more than a decade to fully blossom

round and relatively refined flavors possess fine mid-palate volume along with a similar taut muscularity before terminating in a youthfully austere finish that is shaped by a very firm tannic spine
