Early Georgian Stuart Crystal Cufflinks in Case feed-gender-unisexThese cufflinks are nearly three hundred years old yet, one could be forgiven for thinking they were from the time of disco! In 1649 King Charles I was executed for treason. Stuart crystal jewellery were made to show support and sympathy for the Stuart monarchy and the deceased king. Each crystal is an elegant square with angular corners and red pink foil backing. Jewels were foil backed to capture all the surrounding light by day or candle light.
