Patterson, Amer., 1867-1950) Linocut on cream wove japan paperWoodcut, ca. 1920, Ed. 40 50, 7 3 8 x 10 3 8, three areas of surface loss at top margin edge, stain to right corner, pale trace of toning within mat opening, signed, titled and numbered in pencil, on cream wove simili japan watermarked paper. Patterson completed at least four black and white woodcuts of the architecture and landscapes of Capri, as well as several etched subjects, in addition to her color woodcuts, drawings and paintings of the area.
