"Happy Days" by George Overbury Pop Hart, Amer., (1868-1933) AquatintEtching, Drypoint & Roulette, 1925, C. 23, ed. of 50, 10 7 16 x 8 7 8, signed & titled and numbered 20 in pencil, on chine colle affixed to a thick buff wove support sheet, slight rubbing at top margin edge, substantial mat line from previous mat, the image richly inked, one small very light scuff in image upper left, invisible except in raking light. This is an honest and candid self portrait of the artist, showing his lack of pretension and
& numbered in pencil
There are two small short tears at the bottom deckle edge
The stars for instance are barely discernable but add so much to the charm of this uncommon subject
