This is an honest and candid self portrait of the artist, showing his lack of pretension and

& numbered in pencil

There are two small short tears  at the bottom deckle edge

The stars for instance are barely discernable but add so much to the charm of this uncommon subject

state with more horizontal lines added along the bottom edge

and there are a few breaks and minor edge losses

and age toning and soil to margins

Lucioni loved minute detail and indulged his supreme gifts for rendering the infinite textures found in the landscapes of his beloved Vermont

which he wielded with equal opportunity for all

relates strongly to Barrer's other mature paintings

While it's uncertain if this pertains to the edition size

on antique cream laid paper
