Murrurundi Royal Hotel (Landscape) Horizontal where it still is todayThe old Royal Hotel in Mayne Street was built in 1863. It is characterised by a hipped roof, upstairs veranda and quoins. Cobb & Co. used it as a changing depot until 1867. To the rear of the building are the old stables built in 1860 of local sandstone and also used by Cobb & Co. The shingles are now covered with iron.
