Lush Nephrite Jade Cornicello 1924 An absolutely beautiful pieceThe cornicello Italian for "little horn" is an ancient Italian amulet modelled in the shape of a devil's horn and worn to ward of the evil eye. The evil eye was believed to be mostly drawn to women and children, men's sperm, and fruit bearing trees the life giving forces sustaining generations. This particular version is carved in nephrite jade, with a deep green that seems to glow when the light hits it just right, capped with gold plated metal.
