Icy SwampThis is a swamp I pass almost daily on my way from West Stockbridge to Pittsfield. One winter day, the ice was such a vibrant powder blue, contrasted with the rust red grasses that I had to stop the car and go take a photo. It was painted indoors, but I can still recall the frosty feel of that day. Archival prints are available in a range of papers, surfaces and sizes, standard size being 12 x 18. This was a very loose and spontaneous response to the dead flowers

I like the way the shadows of the real flowers fall on the watercolor and the viewer might not be able to tell where the real ones end and the painted ones begin
