Admiralty Chart of Kisumu Editor(s)_ Denys Lambin Guilford Street and the FoundlingPort Florence [Kisumu, Kenya] Kisumu, a port on Lake Victoria, was surveyed as a terminus for the Uganda Railway in 1898. The railway was completed in 1901 and the port was briefly named for Florence Preston, the wife of the chief engineer. Condition & Materials Engraved chart, 66 x 48. 5 cm, black and white, first published in 1902 with corrections to 1909, crease and ink stamp to upper right hand corner, blank verso.
