International Bar Fly, Playboy Club Thatched Barn Elstree England 1960sFor a short period in the 1960s the Thatched Barn a landmark hotel on the outskirts of London became a very short lived Playboy Club. It was not to be and the club closed down and the Thatched Barn returned to being a conventional hotel. an outpost of the legendary Harry's New York Bar in the club was supposed to be another enticement. At least we are left with its "Bar Fly" themed drinks and sandwich menu from that time. Courtesy Private Collection.
