Parker House, Boston 1860Parker House was founded by Harvey D Parker in 1855 in Boston and if its walls could talk, it would tell amazing stories. Charles Dickens, visiting from England, stayed here and wrote to his daughter describing it as an immense hotel with many public rooms and boasting that he had a bath with hot and cold running water.
