A Fine Mid 20thC Lepidopterist's Shadow Boxed Display of Silk MothsOrigin: English Period: Mid Twentieth Century Provenance: Unknown Date: c. 1950 70 The Case: Height: 10 inches Width: 8. 25 inches Depth: 1. 75 inches The glazed pine shadow box case housing four specimens of silk moth (Bombyx mori) surviving from the middle of the twentieth century. The case is in good condition and ready for wall mounting whilst each specimen remains in fine fettle. Examples of the silk moths preserved here include the Cecropia Silk
