Both works have markings verso in pencil with what is possibly the artists name but more likely a former owners

this family wasn’t of Lord or Lady status but were an important family in a provincial town

Largely at the insistence of his American wife

the shaped apron with further applied decoration and turnings over an under-tier shelf pierced with four holes and with decorated frieze

The face also in a light skin color with rose tinted cheeks

was especially priced in both Italy and France in later centuries
