A fine pair of 18th century, elaborately decorated, ormolu mounted vases, painted with exotic birds and putti, the latter pair of panels depicting the putti painting (representing art), and playing a drum (representing music). The painted scenes are within tooled gilded reserves. The mounts with fruit and vine terminals. The vases raised upon a reeded and acanthus leaf socle. Condition. In excellent antique condition.
