The swarming crowd pressed here against towering masts of fishing boats on the wharves of Provincetown elicits a similar feeling to the teeming hordes dwarfed by skyscrapers in Abraham Walkowitz's lithographs of of New York from early in the
west of London
state with more horizontal lines added along the bottom edge
