2008 Berry Bros. & Rudd Tamnavulin, Cask Ref. 5544, Speyside, Single Malt Scotch Whisky (52.8%)Situated in the small village of Tomnavoulin, Tamnavulin translates as "mill on the hill" The nose opens with aromas of nectar, pipe tobacco, worked leather and fudge, before revealing fruity notes in the form of citrus, apricot and glazed lemon. There is a wonderful depth to this dram, with the sugars counterbalancing the citrus. On the palate, the sweetness balances things out as notes of dark oak and citrus collide. The latter wins overall emerging
