Imari Fancy Stitches • 15x22 Petit Bag~15 inches tall by 22 inches wide Playfully designed + carefully finished over many hours of meditative hand stitching, this cushion was just as fun to make as it is intricate! Shapes are cut freehand + each arrangement is one of a kind. Layers of stitching are added by hand before the background is free hand quilted (essentially doodling with the machine) + then another layer of stitching + textural elements are added by hand. Handmade at every step.

MATERIALS: the top is pieced with premium worsted wool suiting fabrics

No two pouches are ever the same — and since ties are only so big

Finished with an invisible zippered closure and a premium feather-down insert (made right here in Ontario)

the (unquilted) hearts puff out from the surface

but the front is a single piece of wool fabric

then carefully sewn in place

the results are full of surprise as ties that look similar can yield wildly different colours + prints
