Inhabiting shallow wetlands, its vivid blue and green colouring along with flashes of bright pink, offering near perfect camouflage among the vegetation. Semi amphibious by nature, it glides effortlessly between land and water. Its strong legs propel it in sudden bursts, while a narrow snout armed with sharp, needle like teeth makes quick work of fish,
