Poco a Poco Chardonnay 2021 RED MOUNTAINA great alternative to what you might expect from California Chardonnay. A citrus and stone fruit flavor profile with a subtly creamy texture, but no flavor from any new oak. Bright acidity makes this a very food friendly wine.

The estate was acquired in its totality in 2002 and the 14 acres of original Chardonnay vines were replaced by the Bordeaux varietals of Cabernet Sauvignon

The nose shows an abundance of intense red berry fruit and hints of vanilla flavors

Aromas of cherries and flowers

The wine is unfined

so the brothers planted more of the variety to sell to these negociants while they continued bottling their still wines themselves

allowing fruit to be harvested at optimal ripeness at every level

with flavors of grapefruit and wildflowers

Most of the grapes are fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks with less than 5% of the total blend in oak
