this red is tightly wound

this is a clear notch up in elegance and is clearly finer with an ultra high-toned floral and spice-infused nose that is almost completely closed in though this may be due to a subtle touch of reduction and I would suggest decanting this if you’re going to try a bottle young

Like several wines in the range there is a subtle whiff of the exotic in the form of mandarin orange to the acacia blossom

in the (rightly named) Unico method (72 months’ oak)

and a touch of menthol on the finish

white peach and a whiff of jasmine tea

velvety tannins and echoing sweet blue fruit

Not much sweet fruit here

there are no single vineyard wines
