Description

A Sevres Porcelain Soup Plate (assiette a potage) 1793Description. Dating from 1793, shortly after the French Revolution. The plate was made during the Reign Of Terror. It is a slightly incredible thought that a piece is beautiful and extravagant as this could be made at such a time. Superbly painted, with central flower spray.
